Lol, sounds like...

the choir section from an old classic rock tune that's totally slipping my mind right now.

Catstuffer responds:

aah, ok then!

Great synth selection

But the hi-hat sample you use is -very- recognizable from almost every house/happy hardcore tune from the 90s. Filter tweak it and/or use a different one.

The drums come in a bit heavy at about 1:40 though. Sounds off. The melody's also seems a little disharmonious at this point. However when the bassline and piano go solo together it sounds hot. :) Good work!

Sexy!

Nice blend of trance/electro/house, man! :) Had my head boppin and feet a-stompin.

Especially loved the saw bass, but that's cause I'm a sucker for the zipper basslines. :)

The rhodes-style piano at about 2 minutes was a nice touch, especially with the rolling you did with it (coupled with the rhythm synth in the bg).

However, at 3 minutes in it just goes wrong. :p no need to shift the notes up, sounds kinda awkward. maybe do the drop 8 bars earlier cause I didn't like the sound of the pitch-shift at all.

Though I looooooove the piano arpeggio and the kick drops at just the right time. However, the open hi-hat sample you use is too cliche. Used in almost every late 90s house tune.

All in all, a solid track with just a few minor problems :)

AlSarci responds:

i know theres some stuff that still needs work, but thanks for all the positive feedback :D

I might work a bit more on this in the future, when i have fresh ears :P

Where's that sample taken from? Sounds like it's from one of those sound effect key chains. :D lol, very fun.

Father-of-Death responds:

that was me being wierd and i made the music in fl7... haha

Very nice :D

I like the change up at about 2 minutes in but it rushes up a bit quickly with the filter cutoff. Maybe lead in a bit the 4 bars previous (with some echo/delay of the following melody) so it doesn't sound so rushed? Other than that it sounded great. :) Excellent job, dude.

MrPikkis responds:

Yeah, it doesn't kinda fit on some points, but...Yah :P. Thanks :).

lolol

Hahaha, awesome flame rap. Not a big fan of dirty south styles but it made me laugh. :) Good job, man.

aztec1448 responds:

lol thankx

mmm distortion

Timing's a little off at parts but other than that sounds good. Personally I'd love it to be faster. When it drops into the hardcore part especially, I feel the drive but I'd feel it more if it were a wee bit faster.

I love the held wammy bar notes. Only other criticism I could make is be a bit more technical with your chord strumming. Some are left to bleed a bit longer than is necessary.

Great stuff, dude. :)

Good start, mom

Melodies were kinda disharmonic at times and the rhythm section gets very repetitive. But if you're having fun making it, who cares? :D

Sunshaft responds:

Yea I agree with all

Very fun

I find myself wanting to hit the clubs now. Very bouncy, a full body-mover. Way to go, man. :) sounds great!

Great song

but it doesn't make me feel sad at all. too epic and moving to evoke sadness.

Draqo responds:

All I know is epicness. :(

Thanks for the review. :D
